Janet Culp
Janet Culp has worked at Animal Medical Center as the bookkeeper since it opened in 1983 and she is now the Hosptial Administrator. She was born in St. Louis and moved to Amarillo in 1963. She attended Tascosa High School, TCU and Texas Tech. Janet's hobbies include greyhound adoption, gardening, remodeling and computers. Dr. Culp and Janet have one daughter, 3 greyhounds, 1 Italian greyhound and 2 greyhound and one mix breed “grand-dogs”. Janet says that the best thing about working at Animal Medical Center is the wonderful staff and the quality of care that they give client's pets.

Hospital Manager

Megan Hutchens Megan Hutchens was the manager at Tails Inn for 4 years and am now manager Animal Medical Center. I am a certified pet care technician and an advanced pet care technician. I was born and raised in Tulia, Texas. I had tons of pets as a child, as my dad is a rancher. I went to West Texas A&M University. She and her husband currently have one cat and 5 dogs. She enjoys working out, being outside, swimming and riding horses. Megan says the best part of her job is helping the employees become productive workers and seeing the progress they make daily. She also enjoy our clients and making Animal Medical Center and Tails Inn the places where people feel confident with the care that we give their beloved pets.

Veronica Villanueva
Veronica Villanueva joined the staff of Animal Medical Center in January of 2000 as a receptionist. She owns 1 dog, Trudy and 1 cat. Veronica says the best thing about working at Animal Medical Center is having the privilege to work close to people who care so much about their pets. She enjoys working with the Vets and Technicians who make strong efforts to help every patient that they work with every day. She says that this is the first job that she has had that she enjoys coming to work and help out whenever she can. Veronica is also a Level One Certified Veterinary Technician.

Jeananne Ferguson
Jeananne Ferguson joined the staff of Animal Medical Center in 2008 as a receptionist. Jeananne was born in Souther California and attended Moorpark Community College. She has one dog, 1 cockatoo and 2 guinea pigs and was an Animal Attendant at the Amarillo Zoo before coming to work at AMC. She is also is the proud mother of 3 daughters. Jeananne says the best things about working at AMC are the getting to work with the animals and her special relationship with the clients.

Nina Paul
Nina Paul joined the staff of Animal Medical Center in 2002 as a receptionist. She moved to Amarillo in 2001 and her hobbies include sewing, painting, floral design, cooking and decorating. Nina has one son, Mitchell and 4 cats. Nina says that the best thing about working at Animal Medical Center is that it's a pleasant working environment and we have a lot of very good clients and the pets are really wonderful.

Rene Reynolds
Rene joined the staff of Animal Medical Center in June of 2003 as a veterinary technician.She is now one of our receptionist. Rene was born in Amarillo and attended Randall High as well as Seward County Community College, AC, WTAMU and Frank Phillips. She and her husband have 2 dogs and 3 cats who and a son that was born in 2008. She says that the best thing about working at AMC are the great people, the building is fantastic and it's a great place to work. Rene is also a Level One Certified Veterinary Technician.

Codi McLamb
Codi McLamb joined the staff of Animal Medical Center in January of 2006 as a veterinary technician. Codi was born in Denver Colorado and attended Tascosa High School as well as Texas Christian University. At TCU, Codi was on the diving team. She has been active in gymnastics all her life as well. She has many pets which include several dogs, 1 cat, and 1 bird. Codi says the best thing about working at AMC are the puppies and kittens. Codi is a Level Two Certified Veterinary Assistant and is also a Certified Veterinary Sonographer.

Drenda Owens
Drenda Owens joined the staff of Animal Medical Center in August of 2007 as a veterinary technician. She was born and raised in Littleton Colorado and graduated from Tascosa High School. She is married and has 2 daughters. Her hobbies are spending time at home with family and gardening. Her family has 4 dogs and 1 cat. Drenda says the best thing about working at AMC is seeing sick pets get better and go home. Drenda is a Level One Certified Veterinary Technician

Shelley Fincher
Shelley Fincher returned to Animal Medical Center in August of 2009 as a veterinary technician and as the manager of our boarding facility, Tails Inn. Shelley was born in Cleburne and moved to Canyon when she was 15 and attended Randall High School. She has been a veterinary technician since she was 15 years old when she started working for her dad was also a veterinarian. Shelley loves to team rope but most inmportantly, she adores her pug, Sampson Reid and her cat, Boudreaux. Shelley says the best thing about working at Animal Medical Center is the people she works with and the clients and their pets.

Josey Douglass
Josey joined the staff of Animal Medical Center in September of 2008 as a Veterinary Technician. She grew up in Amarillo and graduated from Trinity Fellowship. Josey is a Level One Certified Veterinary Technician.

Nicole Mullican
Nicole Mullican joined the staff of Animal Medical Center in August of 2004. She was born and raised in Amarillo and attended Tascosa High School, graduating in 2005. She was a sports medicine trainer at Tascosa and was a member of DECA, BAP and AACAL. She is now attending WTAMU as a zoology major. She owns 1 dog, 1 guinea pig, 3 hamsters and 1 cat. Nicole says the best thing about working at AMC is the ability to learn from the veterinarians and technicians. Nicole is a Level Two Certified Veterinary Technican.

Jenner Schrope
Jenner Schrope joined the staff of Animal Medical Center in November of 2003 as a receptionist. She grew up in Sacramento and Dumas and moved to Amarillo in the summer of 2003. She graduated from Dumas High school and her hobbies are shopping, reading and school. She has one dog, Roxy and no children. Jenner says the best things about working at Animal Medical Center are the crazy people and the work environment.

Cathy Lott
Cathy joined the staff of Animal Medical Center in 2007 as our new Customer Care Specialist. Cathy was born in Sault Ste. Marie and graduated from Texas Tech University where she met her husband of 26 years. She as 4 children: her daugher Cristin, her son Stephen and Charlie who is a Golden Retriever and Pete who is a Westie. Cathy loves to cook and travel take care of the three fellows she still has at home.

Millie
Millie joined the staff of Animal Medical Center in 2009 as a resident blood donor. He was born in 2007 and was adopted by Wick and Janet Culp from the Greyhound Adoption League of Texas. She is the 9th greyhound that has been adopted by the Culp household. Millie says the best part of working at Animal Medical Center is having a great home and the love of everyone at AMC.

Jasper
Japser joined the staff of Animal Medical Center in early 2008 as a resident blood donor. He was born in about 2006 but we are unsure of his birthdate because he was found as a stray in Amarillo and taken to the GALT program. He is the 9th greyhound that the Culps have adopted and says the best part of working at Animal Medical Center is having a nice warm bed all the attention he gets!

Audrey
Audrey is our one of the cats that live at Animal Medical Center. She is the blood donor for kitties who need a transfusion. Audrey is a beautiful, friendly Calico that can normally be found roaming the halls or visiting patients in the exam rooms.
